Face Painting Fun!

Creative Wonders Daycare & After School program had a fundraiser event the other weekend for their Religious Education program, so I took the kids! They got their faces painted and I swear this is the BEST face painting I have EVER seen!! This lady ROCKED!! Check out my little dragon, panda bear, and hippie! :)

27 on the 27th!

I turned 27 on April 27th... this is my year, I'm tellin' ya!! :) It was a pretty uneventful day, which is just how I like it!

My friend Amanda took me to breakfast at Golden Corral the day before my birthday, and bought me a new Willow Tree figure, "Sisters by Heart."


I worked the day before and my team at work decorated my desk... or trashed it! lol!


We went to dinner at Texas Steakhouse on my actual birthday, where Hunter showed off his break dancing skills while we were waiting, lol!

Date Nights with Hunter!

Hunter and I have been going to the movies pretty frequently here lately - it helps that I can earn free movie tickets from work! (Have I mentioned I love my job?!) I love the fact that I have a boy to watch superhero movies with - I'm such a tomboy! :)

Recently we went to see Jurassic Park in 3D and Iron Man 3 in 3D... they were both AWESOME! I especially loved Iron Man 3... Um, hello, Robert Downey, Jr... who wouldn't love that?! ;)

My Poor Girl :(

The hubs and I bought the kids a new swing set last week! We may have been more excited than they were! It has a freaking trampoline - how cool is that?! Ivan got it put together Saturday morning and Aleah went out and played in her pj's - check out this bed head! ha!



I had to work 1:30 pm - 11 pm this weekend, so I was at work Saturday night when my husband called and said he thought Aleah had broke her arm on the swing set! :( I of course left work, picked her up, and rushed her to the ER. Apparently she had been swinging on the swings, and just let go in mid-air, and fell face first. My poor baby fractured her collar bone! :( They said there's nothing they can really do for her, that it just has to heal on it's own, but they gave her a sling to wear to try to keep it still. They said just to rotate Motrin and Tylenol every three hours, but that wasn't even touching the pain and my poor girl was crying out in pain all night long, so I called her doctor's office yesterday and they called in a prescription for Hydrocodone to help her. It seemed to do the trick! I hope my poor girl heals fast! Any prayers would be appreciated!!

CM Punk... Best in the World!

CM Punk may play a bad guy on TV, but he definitely is not!! Hunter LOVES wrestling and CM Punk is by far his favorite! I am really enjoying him being into wrestling, because it reminds me of my childhood when my brother and I would rent PPV's with our "dad," (the one who raised me, not my biological sperm-donor, ha!) and I like watching wrestling with Hunter. :)

For Hunter's 7th birthday, he wanted a wrestling themed party, so I made his invitations...


I had my friend's mom make his cake...


And I just happen to have a friend who knows CM Punk personally (her sister used to date him, and they're still really close friends)... so, I messaged my friend on Facebook a few months before his birthday just to ask if she could possibly get Hunter an autographed picture for his birthday. She said she'd try and sent him an email. He emailed her back and said he would mail the picture - well the day before Hunter's party, here's what we received...


Holy crap!! I cried I was so freaking excited! I can't believe he sent Hunter all of that! Look how much it cost him - good grief!! He is AMAZING!! :)


Getting ready for the party, my girls had to put on their One Direction finger nails that they got the day before! LOL!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Our weekends have been SO crazy busy lately! I thank God for my mom! She helps us SO much!! The other weekend, I was doing the UVA Walk 4 Kids (for the UVA Children's Hospital), Marissa had a birthday party to attend for two boys in her class, and the hubs had planned to take Hunter fishing. Oh, and it was my weekend to work, so after the walk that morning, I had to work 1:30 - 11 pm! lol! I was beat after that weekend!

Here's some pics from our walk. I took Aleah with me and she had a blast! We walked three miles... up and down hill... I almost died, but I made it. ha! I was pushing Aleah in the stroller too... whew! Definitely a good workout! :)
