Just Another Manic Monday!!

I'm going to attempt to participate in Project 365 again this year. I really kicked myself for giving up last year! :( So, to kick it off, here's a 30 Day Challenge I'm doing to help me get going for January! :)

And here's yesterday's photo... Me, home from work and about to get my cleaning on! :)

Here's today's photo... Just me at work. haha.

Now for some amusing moments from mommy-hood... :)

I got home from work yesterday and was in our bedroom straightening up, putting laundry away, etc, and Aleah was down there with me. We've been working on getting her potty trained and she said, "Pee potty! Pee potty!" so I put her on the potty with her new Tinkerbell toilet seat cover thingy and she peed in the potty!!!! So after she was done, I left her diaper off of her and let her run around my room with just her shirt on while I was cleaning. A little while later, she came up and said "Poop potty! Poop potty!" I put her on the potty, she sat there a while, then she said "All done!" I looked in the potty and there was NOTHING, so I just said, "You didn't do anything!" we laughed, and I took her off the potty and let her go back to playing in my room. A few seconds later, as I'm putting laundry away, I look over and she's got a big ol' piece of poop stuck between her little butt cheeks! Ewwww!! She actually HAD pooped on the potty, but it apparently got stuck! lmao!! So I picked her up and ran back to the potty so it would fall in there and get her cleaned up! lol! Lesson learned... wipe their butt even if you don't think they did anything in the potty!! haha!! I'll never make that mistake again!!

Then, as we were cooking dinner last night, I was in the kitchen cooking side dishes on the stove, and hubby was outside grilling burgers and hot dogs, and Aleah came in the kitchen saying, "Look!!!" I looked over at her, and she was COVERED in paint!! She had got into her brother's room where he had been doing a paint-by-numbers earlier and left the paint on the table, and got it EVERYWHERE! She was covered!! And it appeared she ate quite a bit of it too! Ew! Thank God it's non-toxic!! So, since I was in the kitchen cooking, I just stuck her in the kitchen sink and washed her off! haha! How redneck!! I can't believe I didn't think to get a picture of her! But, it looked something like this...
(Picture from when we painted pumpkins at Halloween)

Last night, my Dallas Cowboys were playing the New York Giants in a fight for the NFC East Division Title. After about the first quarter of the game, I'd had enough of seeing my boys play like crap and took my happy butt on to bed... I plugged my phone up like usual, set my alarm on it to wake me up at 4:30 for work this morning, and went to sleep... then I wake up at 5:40 this morning, to find my phone didn't charge last night and had died, so therefore my alarm didn't go off! Talk about panicking! I was due at work at 6 am!! I pulled the battery out of my phone, put it back in, and plugged it back up; the green light came on to indicate that it was charging, but it still wouldn't turn on. Sometimes when it's completely dead, it takes a while to charge up before it will actually turn back on, so I let it charge and got in the shower to get ready for work. After I showered, it STILL wouldn't turn on, so I still couldn't even call work to let them know I was going to be late! I made it to work an hour late... I am NEVER late to work! It was extra overtime that I had volunteered for that I missed though, so my manager was super-understanding and didn't even make me stay extra after my shift to make it up, thank God! Lesson learned... set the hubby's actual alarm clock to wake me up as well instead of relying on my phone!

Wow, I've just learned all kinds of lessons this week, huh?! And it's only Monday!! :) Have a great week, folks! :)

  3. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! We are potty training too! My little guy loves to drop his drawers scream "I gotta go potty" and run upstairs to do his business? Why do they have to take all their clothes off when they use the potty huh? ;)

Cute little girl! :) Following back!

  7. I think it's just a week for alarm clock fail. Mine did the same thing this morning. Supposed to be up at 445 woke up at 530, still made it to work on time but I'd be lying if I said I don't look like I just crawled out of bed :)
Hope the rest of the week goes well.
I also tagged you in one of my posts <3
    Have a great new year.
