I'll never forget the moment I heard she had passed. I was off work that day (thank God), and standing in my bedroom when my phone rang, I answered it and got the news... and kicked a hole in the wall. I was SO mad/upset/angry... I didn't know how to react. I immediately called my mom, she came to get me, and we headed straight to Charlottesville to my aunt's house, where Nana still was. She had just passed and was still in her bed... I half expected to get there and wake up and it all be a dream... it was so hard to see her like that!! :(
I can't stand the thought that she won't get to see my kids grow up. She loved them SO much!! She especially loved babies. If you took a baby to my Nana's house, she would hold them the entire time you were there and not let go... I love her SO much. We miss you, Nana!!
