Scariest Day EVER!!

We found out the hard way last week that my poor baby boy is allergic to bees! :( Hunter got stung before lunch time while I was at work, but my mother-in-law gave him Benadryl and the swelling stayed down and he was fine. I picked him up after work, went home, cooked dinner, he ate dinner and was playing like normal, then walked into the living room around 7 pm and his face was so swollen and he told me he was having trouble breathing! :(

So off to the hospital we went! I hauled ass!! I've never been so scared in my life! By the time we got to the hospital, his oxygen was low and he was hyperventilating so they took him right in and put him on oxygen. My poor baby!

After giving him some steroids, they sent him home with orders to follow up with his doctor the next day.

Pics at the doctor's office... our appointment was at 3:00 and we weren't seen until 4:00! I was SO bored!! LOL!

The doctor confirmed that he is allergic to bees and gave us a prescription for an Epipen to keep with him at all times... this is AFTER insurance! Omg!

The day after, all my babies drawing, Aleah is the only right handed one :) You can still see how swollen his face was though! :(

  1. So glad he's okay! Wow that is expensive!! We are so lucky in New Zealand that we don't have to pay for anything when we go to the hospital. Good that you know now :)
