He Has Risen!

I told y'all I'm playing catch up, so obviously this is a few months late! ;)

Our Easter was filled with lots of Easter activities, but I also took time out to educate the kids about what Easter is really about - Christ, not the Easter Bunny! Shocking, right?! :)

I help out in Marissa's class twice a week and on the Friday before Easter, we got to color Easter eggs - with a class full of kindergarteners, and one who is allergic to eggs! ha! Everything went smoothly though and they had a blast! After we colored eggs, we had an Easter egg hunt on the playground for them, then painted their faces like bunnies! :)

My team at work won the Easter basket decorating contest that we had too! We shaped our basket like a carrot and got a huge bunny to hold it! We donated all of the Easter baskets to the local Salvation Army for the less fortunate children.

The Easter bunny was also at my work, so my mom and grandma brought my kids by to see him while I was working! Aleah was a little scared of him at first, but then opened up! :)

We colored Easter eggs at home too! Aleah had a blast!

The Easter Bunny came to our house! :)

We watched Hop before church and cuddled with their Hop bunnies from Build-A-Bear!

Our church service was very uplifting and the kids really enjoyed it as well! I wasn't feeling the best after church, so we went back home instead of going to my family's annual Easter event. Sadness! :( I laid in bed sick the rest of the day, and it was raining, so my hubby, being the wonderful father he is, hid eggs inside the house for the kids to have an Easter egg hunt inside. They were still happy! I hope everyone else had a great Easter too!! :)

I dont' think I ever really posted about our Resurrection Sunday this year. Maybe I did, my brain hurts.
We do dyeing eggs and hiding eggs, but we have decided to not even do the Easter bunny. Personal decision, but what we felt was best for our family. I do have to say, that one isn't as creepy as I have seen some look.
