Himalayan Salt Lamp {Review}

(Please ignore this old slate top dresser, lol)

I was given the opportunity to review a mini Himalayan Salt Lamp and jumped at the opportunity! I've seen a few of these online and had been wondering what the buzz was all about!

When we received our salt lamp, my husband was SO excited! He said it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen! He's a nature/outdoorsy kinda guy, so I think that's why he likes it! :) We put ours in our bedroom and leave it on at night as a nightlight so we can see our puppy!

I had heard of many benefits of these lamps, including what I read on their website, that "Himalayan Salt Lamps are aesthetically pleasing and create an environment filled with positive energy. Many people find that placing several salt lamps in a particular room or space where they spend time lends an even greater benefit, both in terms of physical health and mood enhancement."

After having our salt lamp in our bedroom for a few weeks now, I honestly would have to say that we have experienced a more calming feeling in our bedroom. It's helped me fall asleep at night as well.

The lamp not only brightens the room, but also purifies the air. The bulb heats the salt to release negative ions into the air creating an effect similar to an ionizer, purifying the air. When lit, this crystal salt lamp emits a calming and relaxing amber radiance.

Also from their website:
Crystal Height: 4 - 5 inches
Crystal Weight: 3 - 5 pounds
Protection Area: 64 square feet

These genuine Himalayan Salt Lamps come complete with Rosewood base, 6 foot heavy duty UL listed electrical cord with on/off toggle switch, 15 watt bulb, and box - making them perfect for gift giving!

  13. My sister had one of these, and she said that it actually pulled the impurities out of the air and she would actually have to 'clean' them off the rock.
    I really need to invest in one, especially for my daughter's room who has trouble sleeping sometimes.
