One of my readers asked about my organization skills - how I kept everything organized, so I'm going to try to to start sharing more of that on the blog (Although my organization as a whole is still a work in progress!)...
I figured I'd start with our Homework Organization!
-On the top left, I hang some of the kids' art work.
-Top right is a school calendar for the year that shows Teacher Work Days, Early Dismissals, etc.
-Middle left is their school Messenger that shows any events going on at school or reminders.
-Middle right is the snack schedule for Marissa's class so I can keep up with which day is her snack day every month to take snack for her class.
-Middle far right is some ink pens, dry erase markers, etc.
-Bottom left is Hunter's side. It has his Homework Sheet for the week and his words for the week.
-Bottom right is Marissa's side. It has her Homework Sheet for the week and her words for the week.
As you can see, there's also some random things hung up there that I don't want to forget or would like to have on display! :)
This is also our little Homework Center we have in the kitchen - it's real simple and just has some extra notebooks, folders, papers, etc, and a basket that has some extra pencils, scissors, glue sticks, crayons, paint, anything they may need for homework! :)
As you can tell, it's also got some random papers stuffed up there, probably from the kids when they're asked to clean off the table, lol.
Do you have a homework center for your kids?
That is a great idea. I have a bulletin board with a few of my boys awards, etc. Then I have the monthly lunch calendar on the fridge. You've inspired me to organize a little better, though :)

ReplyDeleteSo organized! I keep looking at getting one of those 31 organizers, but they're so expensive (IMO).
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful idea. I am not nearly as organized.
ReplyDeleteI don't. But I need to make one. My kids use the table and our desk in the living room.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea! My oldest graduates next year so he's past a homework board. BUT our youngest starts kindergarten next year (I know - HUGE gap lol) so this would be great for not only homework but also field trip reminders and lunch lists.
ReplyDeleteTHis is a great idea. I love to see how others organize!
ReplyDeletemy home center in general is a mess but I dont' know where to start. I've eyed this organizer for years too. i should just get it
