My Tonsillectomy
I had my tonsils taken out on Friday... the surgery itself wasn't bad at all and recovery while at the hospital wasn't bad. The doctor who did my surgery is the only one in our town who uses this numbing agent so that my throat was still pretty numb until I was home. My throat is now KILLING me and I can't talk at all, or I'm in tears from the pain of trying. They gave me pain meds, which I'm taking, but I'm only taking 1 pill every 4 hours, when the bottle says I can take 2 every four hours, if needed. The problem there is that if I take two, it knocks me out and I can't function! lol! Like seriously, I'm a lightweight. Even just taking the one pill is killing me. I'll be sitting in my chair reading and just fall asleep. I can't stay awake unless I'm up doing stuff, and then half the time I feel dizzy so I can't be very active. And I think the dizziness is coming from not being able to eat very much... so, hopefully if anything good comes out of this horrible recovery, I'll end up losing weight? LOL! Anyway, just thought I'd post an update on my surgery in hopes that I can look back and say that it was all worth it... we'll see!!
Hope you get better soon chicka!!! Im sure it will be for the best cause you wont have anymore problems with your tonsils. Don't worry I think all moms hate pain pills that make them sleepy, I know I do lol so I deal with the pain instead of taking them but with a tonsillectomy the pain is VERY hard to ignore.
